The Bentley Brook Brewing Company

Based in the Old Carpenters Shop at Lumsdale, Bentley Brook Brewery brews a a wide range of cask, keg and canned beer - everything from lager to pale ale, stout and more - using high quality ingredients including Derbyshire grown barley. Available in local outlets the business also offers a popular Taproom for customers to enjoy its products and an online shop for both trade and the public.

The microbrewery used the £4,288 Small Business Adaptation Grant awarded by Derbyshire Dales District Council to fund the conversion of a horse box trailer into a fully functioning mobile bar. This includes a drinks fridge, high capacity batteries, a backup generator, a solar panel and inverter and water heater, plus a protective cover for the unit.

The mobile bar enables the business to attend events such as local carnivals and festivals as well as weddings and private parties. It thus provides them with an additional revenue stream and reach new customers, with an associated increase in turnover.

Kurtis Baker (Director) says:

The Small Business Adaptation Grant has helped us reach a new audience and spread our beer far and wide from our new mobile taproom.
